If you’re thinking about reaching out for support, but you’re unsure what to expect, this blog is here to walk you through it—step by step.
There’s no hard sell. No pressure to commit. Just a clear explanation of what working with me actually looks like—from your first enquiry to how sessions unfold, and how we continue from there.
This process is designed to feel safe and collaborative. You set the pace, and I gently guide the process using my training, intuition, and experience to help uncover the deeper patterns and beliefs that may be holding you back.
Whether you’re feeling cautious, curious, or quietly ready, I hope this helps remove some of the unknowns and gives you the confidence to take that first step—if and when it feels right.
🌿 Step One: A Free Consultation
We start with a free, no-pressure consultation.
You choose your appointment time, and we meet online via video call. This is your chance to talk about what’s going on and explore the kind of change you’re seeking—or even just to say, “I don’t want to feel like this anymore.”
If you’re not sure what you want yet, that’s completely okay.
There’s no pressure to sign up. This is simply a chance for us both to see if working together feels like the right fit.
🌱 Step Two: Booking Your Sessions
If you decide to go ahead, you choose the package that feels right for you (I offer 3-, 6-, 12-, or 24-week options).
Once you’ve made your choice, I’ll send your invoice and intake paperwork. After that’s returned, you’ll receive your booking link so you can schedule your first session.
Payment plans are available on request, and I’m always happy to discuss options to help make therapy more accessible and manageable.
If you need flexible or evening appointments, just let me know—I do my best to accommodate individual needs.
🌼 Step Three: Beginning Your Sessions
Once booked, you’ll receive:
A confirmation email
A couple of gentle reminders
A short audio to help you prepare and feel grounded before our first session
All sessions take place online via a secure video link, so you can join from wherever you feel most comfortable.
We aim to keep your session time and day consistent, but I’ll always try to be flexible where needed. Sessions are usually weekly or fortnightly, depending on what feels right for you.
💧 What to Have With You
For each session, I suggest:
A glass of water
A notepad
Some tissues—just in case
I’m also creating a short welcome video explaining about tapping, to help you feel informed and at ease before we begin.
🌀 What Happens in a Session
We start with a check-in, then agree on the focus for the session together. That might be a specific issue, a pattern, a feeling, or something recent that’s been bothering you.
From there, I guide you using a blend of:
Counselling skills
Psychological understanding
EFT (tapping) and
Matrix Reimprinting (when appropriate)
We might work with a memory, a physical sensation, or a belief—and gently tap to see what comes up.
I work intuitively, and while you guide the direction with what you bring, I support the process by helping uncover what’s beneath the surface—often recognising links, emotional blocks, or core beliefs you may not yet see.
You’re always in control, and we only go where you feel safe enough to go.
🧩 Tailored to You
All the work we do is tailored to you as an individual—there’s no one-size-fits-all approach here. This flexibility makes the process more effective, because we can focus on what matters most to you and work in a way that fits your needs, personality, and pace.
Whether it’s exploring memories, shifting emotional blocks, or gently reframing long-held beliefs, our sessions are shaped around you—not a formula.
📊 Tracking Progress Together
To help us stay connected to your emotional shifts, I often use simple tools like scaling—asking how you feel about an issue on a scale from 0 to 10 or 0 to 100. This helps us see progress, explore new areas, and make sure the work stays relevant to what you’re truly feeling.
It’s a gentle way of noticing what’s changing and where we might focus next.
🔄 After the Session
We take time to reflect, settle, and bring the session to a safe close.
Often, I’ll offer a small piece of reflection or “homework” to support your growth between sessions. We’ll revisit the focus (e.g. anxiety around work or boundaries with others) and see whether the emotional intensity has shifted.
As we continue, I check in regularly to hear how things are landing for you. This is your journey—and I offer structure and support without pushing.
And remember: You don’t have to talk about everything. We can still work effectively even if something feels too painful to put into words.
🧾 A Note on Commitment and Safety
To help you feel safe and supported, I ask that clients commit to at least three sessions to begin.
This gives us time to build trust and begin meaningful work. If, after the first session, you don’t feel it’s right, I offer a refund—minus the cost of the initial session.
💛 You’re Welcome Exactly as You Are
You don’t need to have the right words. You don’t need to be confident or certain.
This is a space for you to reconnect with your true self—gently, safely, and at your own pace.
🛡️ A Note on Professional Standards
I work within a trauma-informed and ethical framework, drawing on my training in counselling, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), and Matrix Reimprinting. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practice, emotional safety, and deep respect for your unique journey.
