About Me

Jane Nevell seated in her therapy space, offering online support for women over 50

I'm Jane Nevell — a therapist, and a woman who understands from the inside what it feels like to lose yourself in caring for everyone else.

For over 16 years I've worked across mental health, addiction, trauma and emotional wellbeing — but it's my own journey that shapes the way I work most deeply.

I specialise in EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), Matrix Reimprinting and counselling — approaches that work with the whole of you. Not just what's on the surface, but the deeper patterns, beliefs and experiences that have shaped the way you see yourself and move through life.

I believe lasting change begins with understanding yourself more honestly and compassionately — and that it's possible to remain caring and kind while also developing a stronger, kinder relationship with yourself.

If you've spent a lifetime being there for everyone else, this is a space where you can finally begin being there for you.

Why I Focus on Women Over 50

I focus on women over 50 because I am one.

For much of my life, I was the sensitive one. I cared deeply about other people and often found myself thinking about their needs, feelings and wellbeing. I wanted to help, ease things and keep the peace.

I didn't see this as a problem. In many ways, it reflected some of my strengths — kindness, empathy and a genuine desire to care for others.

Over time, however, I began to realise there was a cost.

So much of my attention had been focused on everyone else that I had gradually lost touch with myself. I had become very good at understanding other people, but less skilled at understanding my own needs, feelings and hopes for my life.

As I got older, I realised these patterns weren't disappearing. If anything, they had become more deeply ingrained. Life wasn't getting easier. I knew something needed to change.

Therapy helped me understand myself differently. Over time, I learned to trust myself more, recognise old patterns and develop a kinder relationship with myself.

That experience changed my life.

It's also why I care so deeply about this work.

I don't want women to feel they have to choose between caring for others and caring for themselves. I believe it's possible to remain kind, thoughtful and compassionate while also developing a stronger sense of self, healthier relationships and a life that feels more true to who you are.

If any of this feels familiar — the exhaustion, the confusion, the quiet sense that you've lost touch with yourself — you're not alone.

If any of this feels like your story too, you don't have to keep carrying it alone.

I know what it's like to feel that way — and I know it's possible to find your way back to yourself.

If you'd like to explore what working together might look like, or simply have a question, I'd love to hear from you.
