Woman looking out to sea – emotional healing for women

Helping You Rediscover Your True Self

Have You Lost Yourself in Trying to Keep Everyone Else Happy?

You may have spent years adapting, keeping the peace, and focusing on everyone else’s needs while quietly pushing your own aside.

Over time, this can leave you feeling emotionally exhausted, disconnected from yourself, and unsure what you truly want or need anymore.

Perhaps you’ve become so used to being the reliable one, the caring one, or the strong one that you no longer know how to prioritise yourself without guilt.

Somewhere along the way, you may have become so focused on everyone else that you lost touch with your own needs, wants, and sense of self.

I’m Jane Nevell, a therapist helping women over 50 work through people-pleasing, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, and long-standing patterns of self-sacrifice.

With over 16 years of experience across mental health, addiction recovery, counselling, and emotional healing, I understand how deeply these patterns can affect the way women see themselves, relate to others, and move through life.

I offer online therapy combining EFT, Matrix Reimprinting, and counselling to help you gently explore the deeper emotional patterns keeping you stuck, while supporting you to build greater self-awareness, emotional safety, confidence, and self-trust.

You don’t have to keep living according to everyone else’s expectations while losing yourself in the process.

Together, we’ll gently explore the patterns that have shaped the way you relate to yourself and others, helping you move toward healthier, more balanced relationships — where your needs, feelings, and wellbeing matter too.

Over time, many women find they feel calmer, clearer, and more able to consider themselves alongside everyone else, rather than automatically putting themselves last.

How I Can Help

I offer a gentle, supportive approach that helps you better understand yourself, work through long-standing emotional patterns, and move toward healthier, more balanced relationships with yourself and others.

Here are some of the ways I can support you:

✔ Work through people-pleasing and over-giving while learning to set healthier emotional boundaries.

✔ Understand the deeper roots of self-doubt and begin trusting your own thoughts, feelings, and voice.

✔ Reconnect with your own needs, values, and sense of self after years of adapting to others.

✔ Heal emotional wounds and long-standing patterns that continue to affect your relationships and wellbeing.

✔ Develop a calmer, more compassionate relationship with yourself — where your needs and feelings matter too.

A Gentle Place To Start

You don’t have to begin with therapy to start reconnecting with yourself.

If you’ve spent years putting your own needs last, even slowing down long enough to reflect on yourself can feel unfamiliar at first.

My free EFT Tapping Guide and workbook are designed to help you begin noticing emotional patterns, reconnecting with your thoughts and feelings, and developing greater self-awareness at your own pace.

These resources aren’t a replacement for therapy — especially for deeper emotional wounds or trauma — but they can offer a supportive starting point and help you begin understanding yourself in a different way.

When you subscribe to my Substack, you’ll also receive occasional reflections, emotional insights, and supportive posts exploring people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, self-trust, and reconnecting with yourself more fully.

Meet Jane

I’m Jane Nevell, a therapist specialising in Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Matrix Reimprinting, counselling, and psychology.

My own journey into therapy began over a decade ago following a personal turning point that led me to look more deeply at myself, my relationships, and the emotional patterns I had carried for years.

Now, I support women over 50 who have spent much of their lives adapting to others’ needs, struggling with self-doubt, or losing themselves in caring for everyone else.

Together, we work toward helping you feel more connected to yourself, your needs, your feelings, and the life you want to live.
